The day before mid-term break we found out that our TY Musical was going to be "Legally Blonde." For the next few weeks after that we had musical workshops and the number of people getting called back became smaller. I made it down to the final 12 boys. After another week everyone found out their part. I got the part of Lowell, a Harvard Professor. It was a small part, but I was still a principal with a few lines. We had a couple of months to prepare for the musical. The months after the roles were given out were full of non-stop rehearsals. The rehearsal became tedious towards the end but this just fed the anticipation for our performances. After a lot of hard work everyone was prepared for the performances in January. We had 3 shows for parents, and another 3 in front of the school. I really enjoyed the feeling of being on stage. I think that the musical brought our year together, as people came out of their shell. Overall, the musical was an interesting experience, and I even got my picture in the Bray People.
