On Friday the 17th of November my year went to the DCU open day. It lasted for the whole school day and there were many lectures that we could go to. I went to lectures about Law, International Relations and Astronomy. I am interested in doing a law degree once I leave school so the lecture on law was very interesting and relevant to me. I learned that the DCU BCL fills out the requirements for the Kings Inns. I also learned about all the modules involved in BCL. I have an interest in astronomy and enjoyed that lecture too. I learned about what you need to get in the Leaving Certificate to study Physics in Astronomy and the applications of Physics in Astronomy. I am also interested in politics, which made the international relations lecture very entertaining. The lecturer talked about how the EU has a "Bendy Banana Law." Some countries such as France and Spain are in favour of this law because it favours the countries that used to be part of their colony. It was great to spend time with people in my year, walk around and experience a university that I may decide to go to in the future.
